FAQ
Do I need a referral?
NO REFFERALS NEEDED. DIRECT ACCESS
Every patient has a choice of where to go for physical therapy. The state of Florida allows "direct access" meaning no physician script is required for the first 30 days of treatment. After 30 days, the patient is required to obtain a script for physical therapy orders. We are always happy to contact your doctor for you in order to obtain a script upon your request.
Do you take insurance?
I accept Medicare however I do not participate with any private insurance providers directly. I am able to provide you with a Superbill, which you may be able to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement under your out-of-network benefits.
Where can I find information regarding your rates?
You can find rates for an initial assessment and treatment by clicking here to visit my booking page.
What to expect in your initial visit
Initial visit includes a 60-75 minute professional detailed and thorough comprehensive initial evaluation. We'll be assessing your range of motion, strength, flexibility and functionality of various joints as well as functional testing leading into a detailed oriented plan of care to achieve your goals.
What to expect during your follow up visits
During your 60 minute, 1 on 1 treatment, you can expect the following treatments including, but not limited to:
o Strength training
o Stretching techniques
o Balance training
o Pain prevention education
o Return to sport testing
o Hands on manual therapy
o Joint mobilizations
o IASTM (Instrument assisted soft tissue massage/Graston technique)
o Cupping
o Modalities such as TENS, NMES and Ultrasound
o Kinesiotaping techniques
HOW OFTEN WILL I SEE MY THERAPIST?
We recommend 2 times per week for 4 weeks minimum in order to reach your goals, however it is also dependent on your progression and pain symptoms. We perform ongoing reassessments to understand whether or not we need to further continue skilled Physical Therapy or transition to an independent Home Exercise Program.
WILL YOU BE IN CONTACT WITH MY PHYSICIAN?
We can provide communication with your physician upon your request. We are able to send your doctor all your progress throughout your treatment, as well as provide any consultation if needed. We enjoy, and strongly believe, in having an interdisciplinary approach if requested by the patient and physician.
